Personal Statement :
Before you press my website page you need to know something about me.  I work with families in all kinds of situations.  It can be a blended family, a family needing to communicate better,  needing parenting skills or ways to understand individual needs that might be covered up in a family.  My passion is to see those people who have been given to each other, work out their differences and heal.  This comes from a well educated background and also from personal experience.

I tell my clients that I would never expect them to do anything that I have not already done.  My journey has gifted me with great insight and compassion about how people suffer and how they can use those experiences for good, for maturity and creativity.  It doesn't mean that you might not make a few mistakes along the way.  It's just all part of our human experience here on earth.

Both my parents were famous circus clowns in the 30's and 40's.  Yes, it's true.  You can press my website button and read all about it.  Even though I was raised without my dad, I eventually found him and that journey is documented in the book I wrote called, Bobo's Daughter.  Part of this story is about the circus, but the depth of the story is a how-to-book about finding the antidote to the pain I lived with every day.

When I work with families, I bring many skills I have learned over my 30 years of experience as a therapist.  But I also bring a deep understanding of what my client may be feeling.  The most important thing I can share is that there is HOPE.  Most times it is necessary to walk through the pain, but on the other side is freedom and understanding.  To quote a wonderful artist named Sister Corita Kent, "The groundwork doesn't show . . .until one day".

If you need someone to guide you through this season of your life, to make sense of it all, to heal or to trigger a deep sense of creativity unexpressed, I would consider it an honor to hear from you.

Client Profile :
The most important thing to consider when deciding to choose a therapist, is whether you feel safe with the therapist, you feel "heard" and if you connect. If those issues work, then it is a good decision to work with me. I briefly consult on the phone first and then the first session is free.
